Artificial Intelligence (AI) use cases inventory

Consistent with Executive Order (EO) 14110, Safe, Secure, and Trustworthy Development and Use of Artificial Intelligence, as well as the AI in Government Act of 2020 and the Advancing American AI Act, the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) issued a memorandum that “directs agencies to advance AI governance and innovation while managing risks from the use of AI in the Federal Government, particularly those affecting the rights and safety of the public.” OMB M-24-10. 

Pursuant to OMB’s memorandum, each agency is required to post publicly on the agency’s website either a compliance plan that is consistent with the requirements of the memorandum or a written determination that the agency does not use and does not anticipate using covered AI. 

The Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission, having conducted an agency-wide review, has not identified any uses of covered AI and, further, does not at this time anticipate using covered AI.
