Judge Joshua Patrick Appointed First judge of the Denver Regional Office

I am pleased to announce the appointment of the Honorable Judge Joshua Patrick as the new First Judge of the Denver Regional Office. Judge Patrick was appointed to serve as an Administrative Law Judge with the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission in August 2022. Prior to his judicial appointment, he was an Attorney Advisor for the Review Commission’s Denver Regional Office, where he started in 2012. He brings to his new role a positive energy and a bright spirit as well as experience in supervising staff. During his tenure as an Attorney Advisor, he supervised the Denver legal support staff, cultivating a positive and collaborative environment. His ability to cope with challenges and be a team player resulted in successful collaborations and growth of staff.
I warmly welcome the Honorable Judge Patrick as the new First Judge and look forward to working with him.  He will assume his new position on Sunday, May 5, 2024.
With this announcement, I want to recognize the fact that the OCALJ was incredibly fortunate to have had the Honorable Judge Patrick Augustine serve as First Judge for 12 years. His ability to lead and collaborate are key factors in the accomplishments of the Denver Regional Office. His consistent hard work, day in and day out, played a pivotal role in so many significant achievements, and I am thankful for his tireless commitment.
